Nadal, the 13-time French Open champion, is one step closer to a 14th title after defeating Jannik Sinner in straight sets.

Rafael Nadal continued his pursuit of another Roland Garros title with a 7-5, 6-3, 6-0 victory over Jannik Sinner in the fourth round on Monday.

Nadal, who is seeking his 21st Grand Slam title, is now in the quarterfinals. He will face Diego Schwartzman, who defeated Jan-Lennard Struff in the fourth round.

Nadal is the heavy favorite to win the French Open, but Sinner has been one of the most promising young players on the tour. He upset 11th seed Pablo Carreno Busta in the second round.
